About our Tours
At TravelWell we specialise in camping expeditions, which means all our tours involve camping. They are everything you expect from camping in the Australian Outback, beautiful sunsets, remote locations, inspiring iconic places, and sleeping under the stars.
Campfires at night, and long journeys during the day are just the tip of the iceberg. To immerse yourself in some of the most amazing scenery in Australia, the Expedition style Overland Journey is the best way to truly experience all of these things, and sometimes this means sleeping in the bush.
So here at TravelWell, we actually think that is the best part (sleeping in the bush), and all of our tours are based around this experience. Silence, sleeping under the stars with a campfire crackling in the background after a good home, cooked meal, and a fun day exploring.
The rest, as they say, writes itself.
So we have two styles that allow us to accomplish these unique experiences, we have the “camping” style tours and we have our signature brand, “Starlight Hotel” style tours.

Every night, on a Starlight Hotel tour, the TravelWell team sets up your accommodation, prepares dinner, and lights the campfire, allowing you to arrive in camp early, witness the sunset, and enjoy the evening under the stars.
CAMPING STYLE TOUR
Camping tours are exactly as they sound, we experience everything mentioned above, and at night we sleep in comfortable swags around the fire. A partiicipation style tour where the whole team gets involved to make a truly special experience.
As you would come to expect with the TravelWell ethos, we still camp remotely away from the crowds with good food, a sturdy 4WD and a campfire each night.
However, to make the experience special we sleep in swags with pillows and appropriate bedding for a comfortable night’s sleep so we can really enjoy the splendor while under the stars in the Australian outback.
More of a simple set up, generally with just one guide, the camping trips are a bit more hands on. Participation for digging the bush toilet and setting up your swags in the evening a standard
However everything listed in the itinerary is included in the price of the tour, and we dont skip on the food.
The camping style tour is for the adventurers that don’t mind having a shower every 3 days, or in one of the many swimming holes. Still a quality product, but, we are camping…
As the TravelWell brand suggests, we don’t cut any corners we just do the traditional swag bush camp adventure but Well.
The maximum group size for the camping tours is 16.
CAMPING STYLE TOUR
Our Starlight Hotel style of tour takes bush camping to the next level. This is where we really shine in our experience of being in the next big thing in outback adventure. Sit back and relax while we take care of everything.
While still immersed in nature, this experience includes regular queen sized hotel-style beds with mosquito nets, outdoor sit-down toilets, shower facilities, and privacy screens for changing. We are basically just putting a hotel room in the bush for you.
The top-of-the-range bush camp style hotel accommodations, are evenly spaced to maximize remoteness while fostering a sense of unity within your small group. The unique mix of rough and dusty landscapes in a remote and isolated setting, with pillows and duvets under a (optional) mosquito net and the 1 billion star outback ceiling.
As for the toilet and shower facilities, we got you. Depending on our camp sites, there will be adult sized outback toilets with screen for privacy at every location we stay. The next day the team will pack it all away and set it up at the next camp, clean and ready use.
Showers, you betta believe it. Now we are still bush camping, but each evening there will be an allocated amount of water for you to freshen up and wash the days dirt off.
The Starlight Hotel accommodates a maximum group size of 8 queen sized beds (suitable for families, couples, or solo travelers). Maximum group size is 12. Most groups range from 8 to 10 people.
